This website works without cookies. Only if you consent in the notice on your first visit do we use Google Analytics (section 5). You only need an account if you want to submit posts as a creator or partner (section 8). Fonts and program libraries are loaded from our own server, not from third parties.
The website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (USA). When you visit it, Netlify processes technically necessary data such as IP address, time, page visited and browser type in server log files. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, stable operation). Netlify is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; in addition, the European Commission's standard contractual clauses in Netlify's data processing agreement apply (DPA). Netlify determines how long log files are kept; I do not analyse them myself.
The maps load map tiles from servers of Esri Inc. (USA). Your IP address is transmitted to Esri so the tiles can be delivered. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a working map display). Esri is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The map cannot be displayed without these tiles; no cookies are set and no profiles are created.
If you tap “Accept” in the notice, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics sets cookies (for example “_ga”, lifetime up to two years) and records information about your use of the website, such as pages viewed, time spent, approximate region, device and browser. We use this to create statistics to improve the site. IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 22(2) of the Spanish LSSI. Without consent, Google Analytics is not loaded. You can withdraw your consent at any time:
Embedded Instagram Reels only load once you tap “Load Instagram Reel”. Only then is data such as your IP address transmitted to Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. and cookies may be set. The legal basis is your consent by clicking, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
For some spots, the map shows links to Instagram posts submitted by creators and partners. Your browser fetches these entries from our database at Supabase Pte. Ltd. (Singapore) when the map loads; the database is hosted in a data centre in Ireland. In the process, your IP address is transmitted to Supabase. No cookies are set and no profiles are created. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in displaying the posts). For any transfer outside the EU, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses from the data processing agreement with Supabase apply. The Instagram posts themselves are not embedded; Instagram only opens when you tap a link (see section 10).
If you create an account in the creator area, we process:
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR: we need this data to provide the account under the terms of use. It is stored at Supabase Pte. Ltd. (Singapore) in a data centre in Ireland. The login link email is sent by the Resend service of Plus Five Five, Inc. (USA) via servers in Ireland; for this, Resend receives your email address. We have a data processing agreement with both providers; for any transfer outside the EU, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses apply.
We store the data for as long as your account exists. If you delete a post, it is removed immediately. If you want to delete your account, write to the address given in section 1; we will then delete your profile, posts and login data. To keep you logged in, the creator area stores a login session in your browser's local storage (see section 9); it is removed when you log out.
The checklist, budget calculator with savings plan and the 88-day counter (including an optionally chosen background photo) save your entries in your browser's local storage (localStorage). This data does not leave your device and can be deleted at any time via your browser settings. The offline function stores page content in the browser cache. Also stored there are your choice in the cookie notice, the place you last viewed so the map opens there on your next visit, and, if you use the creator area, your login session.
Links to government agencies, providers or Wikimedia Commons lead to third-party websites. Their respective operators are responsible for their data processing.
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR), as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD), C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid, Spain, www.aepd.es. You can also contact the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
